Why we created these washi textures
In digital ukiyoe production and background compositing, the most important element is the subtle “breath of paper” in the texture.
These washi textures capture the irregular fibers of real kozo and mitsumata in high resolution, so your artwork won’t look like flat digital color fills when placed on top.
Professional‑grade 600 dpi / Adobe RGB
While many stock sites offer 300 dpi (sRGB), UkiyoeStock provides 600 dpi ultra‑high resolution and the wide Adobe RGB 1998 color space, assuming use in commercial printing and large‑format posters.
This allows you to edit in Photoshop and other tools without losing detail, preserving the deep shadows and subtle tones of real washi paper.
